Susan has worked on large and small projects facilitating elements of the process, bringing the right resources to the table. Susan has worked to assist developers in the due diligence and entitlement proess with a focus on solving problems. Her experience ranged from assisting new companies locating in her communities navigate issues that could impact the project to working as a team members with the design and engineering professionals. He unique perspective helps see the process from a big picture and from the perspective of where issues and opportunities may lie.
Having served on multiple side of the table including city staff, non-profit econonomic development leadership, airport staff and private sector land use and business development, Susan brings a multi-dimensional perspective to projects and solutions. She has a track record of working with elected officals and staff to reach concensus. She often works with public policy experts when key issues need additional support.
Susan started her careers as an international air service analyst providing and packaging sensitive DOT numbers to assist the Mayor's office and airport leadership in recruiting new airlines. During her tenure in economic development, Susan worked with economists and statisticians to take numbers and turn them into a story that makes sense. She also worked on sensitive issues that required an understanding of numbers to help make policy decisions.
Airport Area Development
Susan has worked for an airport, around an airport with a local jurisdication and with a group of public and private sector stakeholders who have a vested interest in the success and policies of Denver International Airport. This unique perspective allows her to see and understand the range of perspectives at the table. Susan was also successful in landing the first non-aviation user at DIA when the airport opened. She understands issues around recruit international airlines, cargo, land use and retail.
Business Development & Outreach
Business Development & Outreach have been cornerstones of Susan's career. Susan started as part of the team that recruited airlines and cargo companies to Denver International Airport. She worked in local economic development both for a city and for a public private partnership, where she had a track record in helping companies land in her markets. During that time, she also lead high level business development/outreach delegations to national and international destinations. During her private sector years, she successfully grew new business for a design and engineering firm.

Susan Stanton has long been known as a community volunteer and leader in economic development, real estate and airport/airport area development.
